As a traveling exhibition of “CELADON:FLAT” held at Art Fair Tokyo, about 40 pieces of CELADON:FLAT will be exhibited together with celadon works of Song dynasty. This exhibition will open on Tuesday, April 22, prior to Art Antiques Tokyo.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ito Hidehito

Born 1971 in Tajimi, Gifu prefecture. Graduated from the Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Center. Itō has won prizes at public exhibitions in Japan and overseas, and his work displayed in the 2014 61st Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition was purchased by the Imperial Household agency. In 2017, he was awarded the Japan Ceramic Society Award. Itō specializes in the creation of celadon works and continues his research on classic celadon technology and expression.
